I take it your dilemma is that you don't think your cabinets and backsplash work together, is that right? If so, replacing the backsplash is the cheapest and easiest solution.

yes and some feedback if it really was a poor choice and what might color tile would look best if I did decide to change out the backsplash. and/or is there anything else I could do that would make it blend better.. ie.. new hardware?

The picture with the range looks tied together but it is the combination with your wall paint color that might be throwing things off. You could consider painting your walls BM Palladian Blue or the blue next to it on the chip.

Thanks.. I had thought of painting the walls ... the adjoining room is seaglass which is a blue green so I have to be careful. I had thought about taking a gray from the tile? maybe that would help vs ripping it out...

HI -- It's not the tiles , there great . I think it's the wall and ceiling colors . A light or medium grey as close to the tile colors as possible and maybe with a hint of blue. Do the light gray/white on the ceiling and the darker gray on the walls . If that looks good to you then just accent with some color décor items in maybe a red . Yes, new chrome hardware -- pulls on the bottom and knobs or handles on the top units . Black and grey and cream goes nicely together .
