Roses - own root and not too tall. We live in a Zone 6 and any roses you can think of grows here. I would suggest Hansa for the colour and fragrance (because what is the point in planting roses if you don't get that rose scent?)

Hi - I second Warner Decor's idea about the Adirondack chairs. It will reinforce the craftsman-cottage vibe of the home. I've also attached a picture of a similar home I built with a large front porch that you can use for inspiration in regards to landscaping.

Are you suggesting putting the chairs on the yard or moving them somewhere else on the porch.

Painting the garage door a different color will do a lot to add that pop you want! You could also add shutters, just make sure they match the door! Then, plant some flowers and make a cute sun garden. Small changes can make a huge difference! :)

Pull your bed out in an irregular shape. It's boring now because it goes straight across.

Think about painting the trim around the windows a different color than the house. Maybe a very dark green. Homes usually look more interesting if there are 3 colors.

I would get rid of the trees/bushes on either side of the door. I feel like they are not working. I think shutters would help and I like the red door but I wish the red were only on the door itself and not the window pieces on either side. It makes it look too wide from the street.

Maybe not shutters, but definitely add more color contrast somewhere. As someone mentioned, paint the garage door and the trim. And certainly make the bed sweep and flow instead of going straight across.

This looks like a lovely home and I am sure you are excited to live in such a nice place.
