We're in the process of a remodel. The current island is being replaced by one that is slightly longer. Unfortunately, we didn't think about how that would 'encroach' upon the dinette area which was already a little bit tight. It helps that we removed the half wall that separated the dinette area and the family room.

So now we have to figure out where to hang the light fixture in the dinette. The current fixture is going. We haven't bought the replacement yet. With the new island, it will be impossible to center the table on the bay windows. (Stupid mistake!!) I don't see how we can hang a light fixture off center of that space.

Of course my goal is to make it look perfect and not just acceptable. None of my ideas seem right. Please help!! I guess the main issue is whether or not we can be off-center with a light fixture b/c we have no choice with the table.
