Hi there, You could get a little pop of color by having little fabric caps sewn for the backs of your chairs. They are like a slipcover, only they just cover the back of the chair, going down about 6" or so.

Pick a fun little Ikat fabric like the one below that picks up on the teal in your table decor, as well as the gold in the wallpaper.

Another option is to replace your chandelier with something that has more presence - something colorful, or with a lot of character. This will give your room a strong focal point.

You have done a great job - it just needs a bit of tweaking!

The room is too monochromatic, you need color, browns. I will do a rug to bring the color into the room.

You guys are all so awesome!Truly appreciate these suggestions. The chandelier has been on my to do list, I have been wanting one that has more presence, preferably rectangle since the table is so large. I'm taking the mats back and getting something more in lines of what you suggested this baker. Thank You all again. Side note, I've always loved the idea of putting rings behind my chairs. Do you think it's possible to add that to these chairs?

Hi saher107. Thanks -- we sure try to be awesome and helpful! I'm so glad you like the place mat ideas. I think they would be stunning in your dining room. I'm not quite sure what you mean by putting rings behind your chairs. Could you please explain what that is?

Also, I agree with Denita -- the wall to the right is calling for art. Something with color. We don't know your preference in art, but the elegant/sophisticated tone of the room makes me think of impressionist paintings, so I'm posting some art ideas along those lines for you to consider.

I think the wall would look great in a dark charcoal grey that almost looks like velvet.

A deep rich purple might work as accent color on table. Or maybe a dark royal blue. Check out some of the dark wall colors on Downton Abbey.

I suggest navy bold print rug and a new light fixture that bring elegance and drama

Regarding Ring back chairs in pic.

saher107...now that you show me, I have seen those before and wondered if they were used for pulling the chair out or if they were just there for the look. Obviously, they have to be anchored to the frame beneath the fabric because they appear to be wrought iron and if so, they're heavy.

You would have to see a professional upholsterer about this because it will require cutting the fabric open on the backs of your chairs to anchor the rings. Whether or not the fabric can be resewn to create a flawless finish is the question.

I would imagine a very skilled upholsterer could make it happen, but my first guess is that they may discourage the idea in favor of protecting the chairs from the risk of a less than perfect result.
