What is the size of the lower and upper wall cabinets?

I am trying to design my 10' ceiling kitchen and wondered what size the lower wall cabinet should be if I want a cabinet with a glass door on top of it? My kitchen designer suggested a 30" lower cabinet and a 16" upper glass door cabinet and her drawing looked like the lower cabinet was "squatty". Any suggestions?
