Looking for an affordable deep sofa / sectional

Hi everyone,

I am trying to find a DEEP sofa or sectional (sofa + chaise) that has a SEAT DEPTH of least 28" deep. AND I have narrow doorways 30.5" so it needs to fit through that.

I have been searching high and low and the two that come close are:

Your best bet is restoration hardware. They make most of their sofas in two depths -- one that is extra deep. Also, they have lots of choices in the styles you posted. For price, they usually do a periodic upholstery sale. Also, you can find great deals at their outlets. Sometimes it will be floor models, or a slight damage to the item. I picked up a leather chair there a few years ago that was a camel colored leather. It wasn't a RH leather, so their manufacturer messed up. I got it for about 60% off. Also, look at their clearance section on the website. When they discontinue an item, you can find great deals.

Thanks Amy! I really love restoration hardware but when I looked on the website most of them said they needed a clearance of 33" for delivery which is slightly too big to fit through my entry way.

We had a similar issue when purchasing our extra deep sofa. The sofa is 96" x 46" and would have never fit through the door or up two flights of stairs of our row home. Long story short, Montauk made the arms of the sofa removable (you would never know they were) to allow enough room for clearance. So, if you find a deep sofa you love, ask if thats a possibility.

Okay thanks Elle. I will definitely ask about allow more room for clearance. I'm also going to take a look at Montauk to see what products they offer.

You might also call the RH number and ask them if the legs can be removed from the sofa for moving. Also, you can remove the door from the hinges to give you a couple of inches.
