What is the shade material made from? Does it have any thermal rating?
Thanks,
Sara

Made from a Greenguard-certified solar shade material manufactured in the USA and specially made so that it doesn't crack or fade under constant UV exposure. Lead-free, has the highest technical rating for resistance to fire, also to mold and mildew. And, if it does become dirty, it can be wiped clean with a gentle detergent solution. How do these operate? Are they a simple pull down or is a cord involved?

Can you see through with lights on at night?

    No.

As you know, all solar shades are opaque from the outside looking in during daytime. At nighttime, you maintain privacy because the lighting is never really reversed. Someone will be able to tell that the lights in a room are on--just as they would with paper shades or unlined curtains--but they won't be able to see details because the strength of an indoor lamp never approximates the strength of the sun. (It's the same reason you need to use a flash on your camera indoors even in what seems like a bright room.)

If you're looking for complete blackouts we also offer options for that. As well as systems that allow you to transfer from complete opactiy to complete transparency.

It's made from a Greenguard-certified fabric that's woven in the USA and has the top technical rating for resistance to fire, as well as mold, mildew, and fungus. It's nonreactive, won't degrade or fade with constant UV exposure, and is rated for indoor/outdoor use.
