Yes - Stainless Steel scratches - alot. I have it in my kitchen. If you like the look of an industrial style kitchen, it will add character. But if you want perfection, scratches will appear within the first minutes of use - regardless of how careful you are. But it is sterile, durable, and timeless. I wouldn't have anything else, as it will never "go out of style".
