Depth and mounting questios

I'm thinking of mounting this on a door. How deep is the rack - how far from the mounting surface? And how deep are the mounting screws? thanks.

    The depth of the rack is 4.3" at the maximum point and approximately 2.6" from the surface at the top and bottom of the rack. The mounting screws are roughly 1 inch, however, different size screws can be adjusted.

    This would be great for fresh towels, but would it work to hang towels to dry in a guest bath? It seems as if they would overlap and not dry well.
