Hi, I often like to fill my bed with pillows and cushions as it gives a cosy and inviting bed. The second and third pic looked good in terms of positioning your cushions. I would perhaps make sure that the yellow rug is nicely position in a horizontal way for the colours of the best to really stand out. In terms of the lamp I would suggest a glass lamp for a natural lighting as the colours seen in your room are mainly bright n clean colours so you would probably prefer a natural lighting that won't take to much attention from your cosy bed.

Personally, I think the overloaded with pillows look is fading, but you can certainly use them. Try using the bright geometric ones with the darker one in cool season to warm and the simpler light ones in warm season for a cooling effect. Lower the piece above the bed to about 6" above the headboard. Here is a chart to help you get the lamp heights right.

I'd stick with four at the most. For lamps, how about something in yellow with a textured / patterned base. These on 1stdibs are gorgeous, but beyond most people's reach...providing as idea.

The cusions in the last two pictures are positioned well. I feel that the yellow throw is not complementing the overall setup and layout of the bed. In my opinion a brighter coloured throw (maybe rust or maroon) would add more depth to the overall setting.
