Here there is a Chinese Antique shop that carries beds similar to this (only difference is some oriental design on the wood). They were made near the turn of the century. I saw one cost about $2,000.00

The India bed has surprising similarities with many Qing Dynasty canopy beds - I wonder if one style wasn't influenced by the other. I personally love using Antique Chinese beds in modern designs, and would probably love using antique India beds as well, if I had ready access to them!
