I like a dark red with a hunter green. Something along the lines of Benjamin Moore's currant red #1323 might be a place to start:

Other colors that goes nicely with dark greens are purples and orange. Look at plants with dark green leaves to get an idea of what colors go well with them. I have 2 mountain ash trees in my yard that have dark red berries with a dark bluish green leaf that is gorgeous.

Look at the blender on top of the counter :)

OMG I thought I was the only one with a green counter top. Bought this house 3 years ago and I hate it!

Think Range rover! They always did hunter green exteriors with sand leather interiors. A very elegant combo.

this site has loads of great colour combinations too - I've linked to a page with some feminine colours to add to the green - but have a look around the site for your own favourite colours perhaps too !!
