Soffit

We have a soffit above our stove. The ceilings are eight foot, but the soffit reduces our ceiling to seven foot. Will the chimney work with this, or would it requiring cutting of the sheet metal in the chimney?

    I have the same sam question. Did you ever figure out a solution? Mfr page says min 30" clearance above a gas range + min ceiling height of 8'. Sounds like a 'no', unfortunately.

    Cutting may not be necessary, you could simply just use the upper chimney if you'd like. It is quite a rare occurrence that anyone would need to cut the chimney.
