Thank you for your question. We like walk-in pantries for just this reason. In this kitchen, the kitchen countertop continues into the pantry on two walls. Affording counter space for all of the kitchen counter appliances that can sometimes clutter a kitchen. In this picture you can see a simple microwave sitting on the countertop, while around the corner there is a coffee maker, toaster, blender, etc. The microwave is not built-in and can be easily replaced when needed.

Great idea. We are building and Love the idea of the appliances being garaged in the pantry. Our pantry will be big enough to do this, so I'm definitely making sure there is enough power into the pantry to cover these appliances. I think I'll check on a small sink as well.
