Need help with this guest room

This room is very small. I had the head board made wanting it to look like my inspiration picture. It may be too tall? Also I have furniture that I plan to paint and I was thinking I would paint them white using a milk paint. I need suggestions on paint color for room, window treatments and how to achieve the feel of my inspiration room. Thank you

What a lovely couple they make and what gorgeous photos and memories you have of the wedding! The wedding dress hanger is fabulous and I've never seen one like it! No wonder you were beside yourself when you thought it wasn't there. So glad it was found.

Nancy, happy to hear your fainting spells are gone and wish you much improved good health in the new year.

I got the vintage vibe.....and it was easy for me to pick up, as our youngest son and his wife lead a vintage life.

The head bird does look tall now but once you will add pillows, it will even out! :)

The pillow combination might work if you add a blue/green throw at bottom of bed to match the new pillow.

Glad you have family, and a larger one now! I have a step-son, raised by his mom, but when I saw him on his wedding day I about well was speechless he was so handsome and I was proud. I tried to imagine how his mom must've felt.

woohoo! I was notified of new communication here Donna! What a beautiful couple and lovely photos. Thank you for sharing and I'm so happy for you. And, the room looks lovely. (I agree with Carolyn that a different pillow or add a throw in a color that complements the new pillow). If I may hijack the thread for a minute! I had the pleasure of having lunch and shopping with Carolyn on Dec 26th. We had such fun and boy, what a wonderful difference having a friend who is also a professional designer to shop with! Soooo much accomplished! Wood floor color selection for the house, new lamps for my master bedroom (a bargain from HomeGoods) new paint color swatches and fabric swatches coming. I was pleased Carolyn approved of my drapery choice! And, fabulous art from Z-Gallery. Oh! And, a possible recliner for hubby that is as attractive as a recliner can be! Thank you Carolyn! You are my hero. :)

Darzy, I am very envious of how you spent your day on December 26th. I would absolutely love to go shopping with Carolyn! You two did get a lot accomplished. Happy New Year!

Seriously? Another missed shopping trip with Carolyn? But Darzy, what an adventure you had! Please tell me drinks were a part of the time, too!!!
abbyjean, we were "good girls" and only had one glass of wine with lunch!

Thanks, Darzy, for the glowing report. It was a hoot of a day as Darzy is a delight to be with, just as lively in person as she is on houzz! The only thing we might ever fight about was who enjoyed the day more, her or me. Super day! Darzy is right that the new pillow on Donna's bed is not right and really needs to be replaced. I'm not sure a throw will make any difference.

I think if you placed the actual sleeping pillows with the piping and trim on top of the coverlet, and then placed the others on top it would balance out the height issue...also, at one point you had a third fabric that resembled a zebra print in the muted orange/red and cream (look back to July 9th); perhaps if you added that print in smaller ovalish or round pillow (with maybe a fringe or something for added texture)...on top of the long pillow centered over the two shell pillows it would balance better with the height of the headboard.

Thanks gypsyrose that sounds good I will have to play around with it and see what it looks like since I can't see things in my minds eye(:(:(:

Steal some pillows from another room to just get an idea if it will solve the height illusion.

Gypsy, what is the height issue? I must have missed something.
Hi Carolyn I think not sure what she is referring to as others have said my headboard is a bit too high for the pillows and it looks unbalanced. I'm not sure because I haven't really looked closely and not sure I could spot it since I'm not really good in that area lol When I get a chance I'll play around with the pillows and see how it looks

Hi Donna, I remembered you asked to see the new lamps (and new wall color) that Carolyn found for me at Home Goods. Here is the "before gloomy" and "after bright" photos. Love the new lamps! And...only $50 each! Carolyn can find anything! I forgot to mention the budget was $200 for lamps and she cut it in half! I could just kiss her! :)

That looks like a whole new room Darzy! Beautiful!!! Cute puppy too!
The yellow walls "swallow" the view outside. I didn't even notice the oranges on the tree in the before photo.

Thank you Deborah. My "puppy" is little "Peanut" and she is 8 years old! She never got over 3 lbs. She's our heart. :)
