Sacha, it's actually a cast in place, polished concrete slab, natural in color. The slab has a thick layer of insulation below it, and was polished in place. It's a great look, and very affordable in a new construction home.

I am in the resinous flooring and polished concrete business; can you tell me if there was a dye or color hardener used, or is this just polished with no color? I am looking for a subtle color to use in my own home and this finish is perfect.

    Thanks.

How much would a square foot of this run for?

Price...it really depends on size and scope, but $4.50 per foot minimum.

What's the maintenance like for this type of stained concrete floor in a residence? Do you need to polish and/or reseal yearly, every 3 years, etc? Only 2 residents so not a ton of foot traffic...

I am building a mountain house and this floor inspired me, I will try to make all my floors similar to this concrete flooring polished, with natural water-based acrylic resin. Nonetheless the doors/ windows also bought my attention, large glasses sliding door similar to this design, with a very nice views down the mountains my lounge looks fab
