these "recessed" lights are actually part of a fiber optic lighting system. They are very tiny crystal lenses using end emitting fiber with a remotely placed illuminator that provides the light. We used a custom color wheel for hte chromatherapy, although i know you are not interested in this. Many clients of ours like the idea of having white light and the option of color, as desired.
