My Boyfriend and I have just combined house holds. My style is very modern and his is very traditional. We are using his couch and dinning room table and I have no Idea how to decorate with this type of furniture. Everything I'm drawn to and would ordinarily pick out just clashes. We're in a fairly small apt. so there's not too much I can do. But right now it doesn't feel homey because there's nothing on the walls and I can't decide on anything to decorate. Ideas please!!!!!

I do have plain gold curtains that were handmade in Italy. I was thinking they might work with the couch and tie in the gold on the dinning room table....thoughts?

Oh and walls and carpet are white.
