Metal Siding

Is the siding on the Concrete Floored Abode the metal they use in ground excavation for holding back soil/dirt? It is interesting and blends well with the setting.

Thanks for the great, quick response! One other question, how do you get the gray, aged look of new timber (looks like barnwood) that somtimes is used with the corten? Thanks again for your expertise.

Of course! We are happy to help out.
We generally achieve the look you are describing by using an exterior grade stain such as Cabot or Sikkens. Every species of wood will appear differently with any given stain color. Likewise, the number of stain coats will also change the final appearance. We recommend testing various stain colors on sample strips of the desired species of wood siding, trim or beams in advance. It is the only way to be sure you will achieve your desired finish.

What is the square footage of this home, and cost per square foot when it was built? Beautiful architecture and workmanship. I love the non-traditional materials. Stunning.
