    about 4' x4' give or take an inch or two. 42" between Island and range counters, 48" on the side not shown that has a refrigerator and pantry door and sink counter.

    How much leg room is there for someone to sit on the side of the island? This is similar to what I am hoping to put in my kitchen. Would a smaller stool fit underneath the side of the island when no one was sitting there?
