The great room, dining room, and kitchen are one room, BUT they are segmented by changes in ceiling height, partial walls, etc. These empty nesters feel very comfortable in these “right sized” spaces for their daily lifestyle. When family and friends gather they are equally comfortable and everyone can socialize.
All within view from the great room - the dining room in the background, the kitchen on the right, office to the left of the dining room and around the corner to the left is the front door. Each room well defined - but not with walls and none of it feels small.
