"Thermal" laser cut bluestone (China) in a soft base,dry laid.(Stone dust for the joints.)This terrace was set in a base of 4 inches of crushed and compacted gravel, then a 4 inch layer of compacted stone dust. This is a stone dust base installation with tight joints and no mortar or cement.The stain color on the lattice fence is a "white wash" or thinned out version of the beige house trim color, it is a 50% wiped on dilution. the overall cost for this project was +/- $55,000 including all of he extensive excavation, stone work, fencing and gates, plant materials and furnishings. This was completed in 2011. This terrace is approximately 18' x 30' for a total of 540 sf. A cedar lattice fence with 2" square openings mounted on cedar posts. The bottom section is 4' high, the top section is 2' high for a total of 6 feet in height. (The fence is 5 'height, with a 3' lower trellis panel topped with a 2 foot trellis panel.???)
