Hi Carol Anne - I just read your response to my comments. It seems like you have a pretty good handle on undertones - Aesthetic White does have a beigy brown (dirty) look, shoji white could go pink & Oyster White can look somewhat yellow green (depending on the overall lighting, etc.) My thoughts: w/your cabinets being SW Extra White (cool toned) and your white fantasy quartzite counter top is also cool toned - you need something that looks good with both those elements. Taking into account the grayer environment of Maine (as you describe) and the farmland that seems to be pulling green hues out (lots of green outside the windows emphasizes the yellow in colors which can translate into a greenish hue) here are a couple of colors to try: however they are Benjamin Moore colors. ( I don't know if you can get BM where you are.) BM has a nice range of pale tones that SW has in their system also (but they are never a complete match as the white base of SW is different than the white base of BM). With a grayer environment and with SW Extra White I like BM Horizon OC-53. It is a pale blue/green/gray. It is an uplifting color as it is not a gray/gray (great for north facing rooms or rooms with grayer enviroment outside). But the backdrop is slightly bluish (like the photo I have in previous post to Faye Jordon.) I have not seen a SW match. It is fresh and clean. However, if that is not what you're after - another color I like (see photo I'm attaching) is BM Instense White OC-51. It is also listed as BM Sheeps Wool 857 (BM often has the same color under 2 different names.) It is a sophisticated neutral with a touch of tan and gray. It has both warm & cool undertones. I have used it in new construction with the trim/cabinets being SW Extra White and everybody loved it. The photo below is BM Intense White with SW Extra White Trim. I have also used it with the paint mixed by SW (and SW Extra White Trim). I like the SW version of this color also.
Both of the 2 photos above are BM Intense White walls (paint purchased at a BM dealer) and SW Extra White Trim (cabinets are BM White - which is similar to SW Extra White). There was a lot of greenery outside the windows and the windows in the 2nd photo are north facing (a grayer light and west facing in photo #1 (sunnier afternoon light).
These next photos are the Sherwin Williams version of BM Intense White/Sheeps Wool. This is a rehab project of an old house. Photo taken on a gray December day. SW version of this color is a tiny bit grayer (more green in it). The room in the 1st photo below is north facing and never gets direct sunlight. It would look a little different in a sunnier room.
This is another room in the same house - also north facing. Trim/doors throughout are SW Extra White.
I have never tried Greek Villa. There is a company that you can order wall decals (12"x12") online for SW and BM paint test colors that you can put on your walls (the back peels off). They are painted in the actual paint. They are about $5 each and they ship out w/in a day. The company is https://samplize.com.

Q
the paint sample decals for $5 sound like a great idea instead of painting samples myself!
