On the way to Asheville, I stopped at this tiny antique store in the north Georgia mountains that was housed in a cottage (fittingly named Cottage Collections). One packed-to-the-brim room with gorgeous antiques, and a sand belt and circular saw behind the store (her workshop). Started chatting with the owner, who specializes inrepurposing wood, decor, furniture- you name it, she turns it into a unique and functional piece that you wonder how you got by all these years without that saddle tree lamp, that ingenious shelf fashioned from a reclaimed door?! One of the show-stoppers was the not-for-sale kitchen-hook-holder suspended for the ceiling, fashioned from a baby mattress that some kid probably slept on in 1923. This reminds me of that, with a botanical twist. Love the way it utilizes vertical space, and more greenery is always, always welcome in my indoors.
