Interesting in that they put an extra vertical piece of wood against each side of the post which makes them look bulky; is the purpose so that they don't have to nail so close to the end of the horizontal boards? Boards look good; i think I'd prefer if say every 3rd board was switched for 2 narrow ones. Is this the back side and the other side shows no posts or anything ?
