I like barn doors, but not sure there is a spot for one in our home. I also DON’T like the door down to basement - it’s already a congested area, and when door is open it stops traffic flow. Barn door would not work in this spot, but potentially French bi-fold door? I also like the small, resourceful storage in the right of this pic (we have lots of games, books, iPads, crafts, etc spread all over the place - need more storage, big and small)
Per earlier comment, I like the idea of a wine fridge, but not sure we’ll have the room - and would not sacrifice more important food or dish storage for wine (when we really don’t drink more than 1-2 bottles per week ... and don’t entertain that much (because our kitchen is so small)). :-)

I don’t actually like these stools, but like the idea of curves island (space saver). Also like clean and open look of kitchen. Lots of counter space. Can’t decide if I like dark cabinetry or light yet.

Love the idea of a small bar area, but not huge priority given limited space. Potentially just wine fridge, w additional space for liquor since currently no home for this and spread btw 2 locations ... or maybe just small secondary fridge since we currently have to go down stairs for extra fridge supplies.
