My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

We painted the shelving green to bring in more color and tie the space together. During Corona shut-in, it became a home-schooling organization place, as well as a coffee bar. The copper vent hood takes on a new life when surrounded by green.

The new black and white checkerboard backsplash makes the copper vent hood pop. We also painted the 11-foot island white to visually break up the weight of the wood elements in the kitchen.

Step two: we decided to make a feature out of the bland travertine backsplash by incorporating a black and white checkerboard pattern painted on the existing tile.
