Hardwearing floor in hallway (busiest area) Consider ventilation; large glazing, needs to incorporate smaller windows for ventilation. A wide bifold door great in the summer, but needs smaller openings when colder. Designated storage Consider what you need to store, so this dictates the storage type. Designated storage is better than a general cupboard, so plan ahead. Don’t waste space Underused areas in your home could be storage. Below the stairs is a great example, but it’s usually just a general storage cupboard filled to capacity and difficult to access. There are great solutions that will allow you to subdivide the space into drawers and cupboards to maximise this part of the house
