A good way to add warm tones is with wood colored tile. Not sure how you feel about this but again it's timeless and not so institutional feeling.

This very simple tiled bathroom has a coastal feel because of the weathered wood vanity. Not sure if you want to stay away from all natural wood entirely, but the floor on the bathroom is neutral as it the showered tile and it's nice and bright. The weathered wood can be added in a grayer tone if you prefer the cool tones to warm tones.

Another one of my absolute favorites: Gray cabinetry with herringbone floor tile and brushed gold accents. In my opinion this is timeless but current. Anytime you can add herringbone tile the style become instant classic.

This hexagonal shower tile floor is very popular right now (Joanie but in her new bathroom in FL. I'll send a pic later) - I like the example of a darker gray wall tile with light floor tile. That could be another solution for one of your bathrooms to add interest and keep bright in small space.

Another example of accent shower tile on back wall. I also like the plain floor tiles in a darker slate gray. There is no window in this layout like the upstairs bathroom. Obviously the vanity in GLP wouldn't be "natural wood" likely white if doing color tile.

I love this bathroom. But thinking you may not like "shaped" or patterned tiles on the floor. I suggest these sort of floor tiles could work on back shower wall with corresponding white (same shaped) on side walls of the shower in your redo.
