This is the pantry/shelving style I want to move forward with, where the shelves above the counter are separate. I like the idea of the shelves being adjustable. I do want a combination of cabinets and pull out drawers below the counter. I like the upper shelves separate from the countertop, not resting on it.

I like the idea of having a place to keep a grocery list in the pantry. This photo shows a cork board and some space for papers. Pantry would be a good place to keep a pad of paper or white/chalk board w/ grocery list.

Love all the pull-out drawers and the vertical storage for cake pans and cookie sheets.

I love this pantry. Love the contrast between the color plus the butcher block. I like the storage space for big pots on the bottom. I also like the countertop as a place to store mixer and other small appliances.
