My Project

This space holds three elements of design: the illusion that the roof is shorter than it is, the rough texture of the brick wall, and the horizontal line that the brick wall makes. This makes the room feel cozy yet open. I believe that all these make the space look smaller

In this space it shows two different types of line: the wood horizontalplanks dividing the stairs and the vertical windows. Depending on how these two lines are used can make a room look taller or wider but I do think these two lines make the room look larger. This makes the room feel open and free

In this space there is tactile texture: the back brick wall is more rough texture and the floor is a smooth texture. This makes the space feel open but cozy.

This space gives a “cool” feeling. The dark smooth walls makes it feel more cool and heavy. This makes the space look smaller.

In this room it has a texture that gives a “warm” feeling. The rug on the floor is more warm and may make the room feel more cozy. In this case the what would be considered “rough” texture makes the room look smaller.

This room is light apparent weight: this makes the room feel more open and free. This makes the room look bigger.

This room has zigzag lines: this makes the room feel more energized. In this case I believe this makes the room look smaller because this back splash is more busy.

This room has curved line which is the window arch. This makes the room feel more elegant and calm. In this case it makes the room look larger because the window is so large.

This room has diagonal line which is the wood attached to the ceiling. This makes the room feel energized. The wood brings down the ceiling and makes the room feel smaller.

This space is room divided because the change in flooring from hardwood to carpet. This makes the room feel more organized and makes it look smaller.

This is a larger space made to look smaller, all the decor and furniture. This makes the space feel comfortable or cozy.

This room has horizontal lines which are the shelves on either side of the TV. This makes the space feel longer and makes the space feel calm.

This room has negative space in between these two counter tops. This makes the room feel bigger but also colder.

This room is a positive filled space. The bookshelves in the back fill of the space and make the room look smaller. I think that this addition the room make it feel more cozy.
