Design Career: Living Room. Typically a Living Room is a space for entertaining family and friends as well as talking or reading. Living Rooms tend to have televisions in them but like the picture above some living rooms are just meant for socializing. In a way it is a formal living room with a mixture of beautiful colors to lighten up the mood.
Design Career: Hospitality Design. The Picture above displays a restaurant design inside a hotel. It is known as Hospitality Design which is simply the focus on the interior of a commercial premises. Hospitality interior design works with floor plan to the color of the walls and the style of furniture. All of these aspects carefully curated and pieced together can ensure a cohesive and unique feel in the space
Design Career: Furniture Design. I believe that furniture is solely the most important aspect of an interior as well as exterior space. I feel like many pieces of furniture not only add function and practicality to space, but they also add style and personality to the room that they are utilized in.
Design Career: Kitchen. Kitchen design is when you combine surfaces, appliances and design details to form a cooking space that's easy to use and fun to cook and socialize in. A kitchen is typically known as the heart of the home because it is usually where family gathers to either eat or socialize in.
Design Career: Historic Preservation. Historic Preservation Design preserves and protects buildings, objects or any other form of structure that may hold historical significance. I believe that this Historical Preservation career is very interesting because you work with old buildings which are solely witnesses to the aesthetic and cultural history of a city its located in. I feel like this really helps give us a better way to connection to the past.
