Bedroom

We're gonna have to talk about this one. There's something I love, but I can't figure out what it is. It is definitely not the scalloped bed. I don't like scalloped edges (or curlicues, like the wall hanging). Hate the lighting fixtures. But there's something here that I want.

I like the black bed and bench. Do not like the bare, white walls. This room is clearly a tuxedo, but it's clever, and clever will always catch my attention.

It's not that I necessarily like it or want it, but something about the playfulness of the bed alluding to a suspension bridge is working for me.

Again, it's too far on the funky side, but I love the bold use of pattern and color. And I love embroidery. I'm a sucker for anything embroidered.

I love wood that has character. Hate that bedding. Dirty purple is a terrible color.

The colors and patterns aren't my style, but the way that they're used is. Except for the ceiling paint. That was unnecessary.

This goes two steps too far on the funky side, and I'm not a huge fan of that yellow, but I would love this if it were toned down a little. And the yellow was gone. And the wallpaper was changed out. And the bed looked slightly less like it belongs in a Tim Burton film.

Love the mix of texture and pattern. It would be perfect if the bedding had some color. And had a different color nightstand. If this room and the lime green one with embroidered bedspreads had a child, that would be my dream bedroom.
