The proportions of this room are pretty good as is, so how can we keep them that way and not allow the sink and toilet blocks to break them up on the main wall? Perhaps by uniting them with a showy tile or wallpaper across both. How can we keep the shower from breaking the proportion of that wall? Perhaps with uniform color on that wall and into the shower. The corner formed between the shower and toilet contains some ductwork but is not filled. There should be opportunities to create storage accessible from both the shower (niche) and the toilet but separate from each other.

This dark blue-green with silvery-grey shower and maybe floor. But if we have tile floor, it had better be heated. Note how the shower entry is framed. Note the soapstone-look counter. I'd love actual soapstone.

This shows the amount of space actually consumed by the air vents is less than what is afforded. My neighbors were able to create the ledge shown here. I hope to use some of the space for storage facing the toilet, and the other space for a shower niche.
