Bookcases

This is probably what a full height bookcase would look like as we have very tall ceilings. Functional ladder a must even if we don’t go all the way to the ceiling

I’m considering cabinets below, would want simple trim like this. We don’t have crown molding anywhere in the house, maybe just echo the simple but tall baseboard and shoe molding?

I like the idea of 3 or 5 sections rather than 4, but I don’t like the different depths.

If not obvious from others, prefer clean lines. Willing to think about mirroring some elements of window or door trim, but nothing super ornate.

Picked this one just because the trim between sections is similar to our door trim. If we did mimic door trim, maybe mimic door sections for cabinet trim rather than simple?

A chunkier style. Wondering if a wider section partway up the wall could visually separate the wall of books in an esthetically pleasing way

Similar vibe as different height shelves between sections but different widths. Though about file drawers, but I think cabinets would be more practical as decrease paper holdings.
