True mid-century, but I like the lowered bar instead of the raised bar with stools. We could have a proper kitchen counter toward the working side of the kitchen and a lower sit down bar across the front. Can double as a work space, easier to get in and out of, and more seating for larger parties

Kitchen is too country, but I like the idea of a whimsical tile…something Palm Springs-ish along the bar. Could also go around the fireplace. A little mid-century flare
