Christmas Decorating - Find Festive Cheer Here!
The Nordic theme is ever popular in design today & makes for a uniquely simplified way of decorating one's space for the holidays. Embrace this theme by using natural elements like light wood accessories and white decorative items such as a strand of white lights, snowflakes made by hand with white paper and add textural interest with white, fluffy rugs or used a seat cushion here.
If you are lucky enough to have a fireplace, don't be shy to dress it up!! Here the scale of the garland, with lights and ornaments are BIG and works wonderfully in this setting where it is no doubt, the focal point of this living room. Notice how the colours in the ornaments mimic the colours of the framed water-painting picture above the fireplace.
Lighting, so impactful
Simplistic and Festive
Such a simple idea and so cute!
This Christmas decor is all about leading your eye upwards so you can see the beautiful detail in the pillars and pretty designed window above the door. Very nicely done The colours are classically stunning too with just a bit of sparkle. I bet this looks lovely lit up at night.
Decorating Your Front Door with Wreaths, Garland and Red Berries keeps with a traditional Colour Scheme that never fails. Simple and sweet Christmas decorating. I love where the wreaths have been hung as oppose to the usual height which would be over a foot higher. Who couldn't be smitten by this dog as well? He is proud of his home and with good reason!
Definitely an alternative to the usual wreath. Great for hockey and ice skating lovers, that's for sure!
Although modern, simple and 'cooler' than a traditional fireplace mantle, this vignette is still fresh, pretty and oh so calming.
White lights add a classic touch and of course, a bit of sparkle!
Simple sometimes really is the best, don't cha' think?
Symmetrical vignette on this mantle is eye pleasing and so pretty. The layers, textures and different shapes is what I think makes this display so appealing. The natural elements as well as the bold contrast of the dark frame and fireplace itself with the cream backdrop is lovely!
Exquisite photo! Purple and green are one of my favourite colour pairings. The layering of the place setting itself is beautiful and very well thought out. The silver jingle bells play off the purple plate so nicely and the sprig of greenery is simple yet effective.
The addition of greenery on the light fixtures emphasize the holiday decor.
Looks like socks can warm up more than just your feet!
Pine cone name holder - so cute!
What especially caught my eye here was the alternate black and red plate settings. They tie in nicely with the napkins and of course the other red accents including the pomegranates and chevron table runner.
If you know me, you know that I love re-purposing Mason Jars! They look lovely here and so simply done with the tea light atop crystals or 'white' snow.
Love the silver sprayed pine cones (on steroids) in this setting. The various heights of the greenery and white candles break up the silver and gives added visual interest to this pretty arrangement.
Whimsical, colourful and fun! Love the orange monkey hanging upside down in the middle of the tree on the left. How much would the kiddies love this?!
The ornaments wrap beautifully around this tree like a ribbon. Although the colouring has been done with care, the decoration themselves are varied which shows that this traditional tree, although gorgeous, is still playful and fun.
Looking ahead to New Years Eve, this drinks tray with champagne, sliced lemons and florals would be perfect for the 'help yourself' bar set up to allow guests to make their own drinks in anticipation of celebrating the countdown to the New Year.
