i like the downstairs floorplan, even though it deviates somewhat from my preferred layout.

so many things I like about this house. Changes I would have made are: 1) extend a deck in the back all across that wall with the windows to the bedroom on the right. 2) narrow the opening from the foyer into the living room, so that the staircase railing is a wall instead of the railing, This creates a space where I can put the sofa, facing the backyard, instead of the opposite direction. I would have even put a pocket door there, to close the living room from the foyer to more coziness. The fireplace then would need to go on the opposite corner.
