Want door handles that are unique. This one is nice. Want some that are flush with the door too though (in the hallway maybe . . . so they don't break up the straight lines).
Like this type of door handle: A privacy lockset has handles on both sides of the door, and the ability to lock the door from the interior of the room.

Do hallway "rivers" something like this? If having water in the hallways isn't feasible, maybe just have rocks along both edges of hallway (or have entire hallway rock). Consider trees "planted" in rocks along hallway.
