Ideas for landscaping around the house

I like the little cactus garden amongst the gravel- good way to take up space decoratively that doesnt require a lot of water. I also like the deck surface and fencing. Looks expensive, though.

Globe Mallow plants are the flowering bushes that grow in the desert- perhaps we could get them to grow around our house
