Based on a child’s unbounded curiosity about the secret lives of urban rooftop water tanks, this playhouse design uses both conventional materials and surprising polymers and borrows dogged fabrication techniques from cardboard regattas and industrial catwalks.
The soft fabric moon cushion at the base invites literary adventures while a bouncy trampoline defies gravity. Ladders and bracings entice exterior rocket repairs. Inside the rocket: the door closes, engines fire, and little scientists pilot raucous inter-planetary expeditions…until bedtime.
