TreeHouse Time Machine
A child’s imagination can carry them through space and time – to the sea, to the Moon, and beyond. It is dynamic and vibrant, constantly inventing ideas for new play. The “TreeHouse Time Machine” provides children a space among the trees to let their imagination wander. Inspired by the escape and adventure of a classic treehouse, the design focuses on floor plates that center on a ladder core, allowing children to climb between levels, as they would climb up into a treehouse. Several levels, each with portals to the world beyond, allow the children to climb the core of the TreeHouse and experience different platforms for play. Each portal supports the creative potential of the child to envision and use the space in their own – whether it is a space ship, a clubhouse, a reading room, or a time travel machine. Ascending through the TreeHouse on the ladder core, the child can peak out beyond the roof in the lookout tower. No matter where they may travel in the TreeHouse, new adventures will be found through imaginative exploration and play. In the TreeHouse, children are free to discover, fantasize, hide out, play, and explore the depths of their imagination.
