“I am here to rescue the princess from the evil dragon,” a child announces, waving his cardboard sword wildly before bravely scaling the wall. On the other side of the wall, another child hums the tune from the Pirates of the Caribbean while clutching the hemp rope net, pretending to be a privateer navigating Davy Jone’s locker.

In today’s electronic world, children spend hours glued to screens and live alternate lives as characters within a virtual world,characters ultimately constrained by its coding. The imaginative world where children can be anything or anyone has been cast aside, its appeal eroded by the characters onscreen.

In order to restore the fizz and whoop to a child’s imaginative world, the Climber’s Wall was created. Melding the ubiquitous boulder wall and a cargo net, each Climber’s Wall differs in the way it is constructed. Some boulder walls on the Climber’s Wall slope gently for an easy climb while others angle more abruptly to give the child a more challenging climb. Most importantly, it gives the child free reign to unleash their imagination on the wall, be it a ninja sneaking into a castle or of Genghis Khan scaling the Great Wall.

Because Imagination is important. Because imagination is the key to a child’s creativity.
