My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Pieces fit together very well. Slots needed to be filed, slots need to be cut at an angle to fit properly using a 5 axis cnc router. Partial structure is very rigid and able to resist bending.

Laser cut armature pieces for test fit (apple for scale). Pieces cut by Ponoko out of a 12" x 24" Birch 1/8" thick plywood, scale approximately 1/8x.

Innerspace Sphere is constructed out of 2 different size armature pieces (120 armature pieces total). The armature pieces need to be cut by a 5 axis cnc router. Armature pieces have been nested to maximize cutting economy. Entry to the sphere will be restricted by the pentagonal, hexagonal and triangular modular pieces. In addition, nylon cords can be woven through the openings to form spiderwebs at openings to further restrict entry.

Innerspace Sphere size can be adjusted accordingly. The sphere is dimensionally stable and can be rolled into position. It is meant to wander about the yard depending on your mood (and to be able to better mow the grass).
