Adventure is defined by the journey, not the destination. Without a predetermined path, InŌnThrü allows children to imagine an infinite amount of worlds and experience an unlimited number of journeys by engaging in three core fundamentals of a play structure: children must be able to go IN the structure, ON the structure and THRU the structure.
A simple steel frame provides the perfect setting for the three core fundamentals by hosting sculptural lines created by a continuous run of bungee cord through a flat circular plane that divides the low shelter from the upper balcony. The bungee cords enclose the space without predetermining an entry, allowing children to enter and exit wherever they want. The bungee cord suspension of the upper balcony allows for an enjoyable bounce that will transform the child’s location in their imaginative play setting.
