We probably can't afford it but the metal frame might look cool to tie in with the garage door.

I kind of like how the wood in the top changes directions. Would it be interesting to alternate them?

Another modern looking white one. I think part of the key is putting enough slats going across the top so that it doesn't look wimpy and so that it actually provides shade.
