Adams Custom Cabinetry

We recently contracted with Adams Custom Cabinetry for a kitchen "refresh" and are really pleased with the outcome. We fully renovated the kitchen almost 25 years ago, so it was in need of updating. However, the layout works well, the cabinet boxes are still in very good shape, and most of the appliances are fine. Instead of the cost and hassle of another full renovation, Adams built and installed new cabinet doors and drawer faces, crown molding, two new cabinets, a frame for the refrigerator, backsplash, quartz countertop, and installed a new sink. We now have a bright, modern, new-looking kitchen with more functional space. Jason and the rest of the crew did a great job, and communications with Trish were generally very good. We would recommend Adams to anyone wanting to do this kind of project.

Words cannot begin to explain how pleased we are with our experience with Adam’s Fine Furniture and Steve Adams. We hired Steve to help us with a very extensive kitchen remodel that involved removing walls and completely reorganizing our kitchen. We had no idea where to begin, so we contacted a couple contractors and cabinet groups to help us think through and bid the project. While everyone we met with was more than professional and generous with their time, the difference between Steve and the other contractors was apparent from the start. Steve instantly saw our vision and came to the table with a number of unique ideas that really transformed our idea from a kitchen remodel into a project that would improve the entire feel of our home. Aside from his great ideas, dealing with Steve on a professional level was an entirely refreshing experience. Steve quickly came up with project pricing that was more than fair and took ownership of the entire project. However, more importantly, Steve promised a construction timeline that was less than a third of the time projected by the next closest contractor. We have a family with young children, so the duration of construction and disturbance to our family was a significant driver in our decision. Candidly, I had serious reservations that Steve could deliver on budget in the timeline he quoted. However, all the reviews we could find on Steve consistently noted that he delivered what he promised so we decided to take the plunge to see for ourselves. The result was the most positive experience that we could imagine. As a starting place, Steve honored his bid despite some unexpected changes and did not come back to the well with constant change orders and cost mark-ups. He is a man of his word, and that goes a long way. Secondly, Steve and his crew were complete magicians with the work they performed. The total project time from the beginning of demo until they returned a working kitchen to my family was 3 weeks. I repeat, 3 WEEKS! Steve had everything lined up from his staff, plumbers, electricians, granite fabricator, etc. so that when he came into the home everything went off in perfect synchronization. Steve handled all of the hidden surprises associated with remodeling a 116 year old home in stride and kept the project continually moving. Finally, Steve and his crew impressed with constant attention to detail and a strong emphasis of doing things right rather than fast or cheap. Steve and his crew take significant pride in their work and its shows in every way. We could not be happier with Steve and his company and strongly recommend them for your project.

After welcoming over 600,000 visitors to our city since 1997, the Golden Visitors Center, a showcase building in downtown Golden, CO was starting to show its age. Recognizing a need to upgrade, we made a decision to seek out a design build custom furniture craftsman to assist us with the remodel. After our research and referrals, we selected Adams Fine Furniture & Cabinetry, located in Lakewood, as our furniture builder. Steve Adams and his staff took the time to work with us to understand our needs and design furniture that would help us achieve our goal. Steve suggested Colorado Beetle Kill Pine wood for a new front desk and cabinets thru out the center. The Golden Transcript referred to the "Grand Front Desk" while covering the remodel in their newspaper. Highly recommend Steve Adams and his team at Adams FF. Start to finish it was a true custom design experience, Steve hand drew the design for our wine room and implemented our vision. His team consists of excellent craftsman and the attention to detail was second to none. I would include photos but unfortunately I don't see how on this website.

When we moved into our home in 2002, I did everything wrong. While it was built in 1993, it had great bones and an open floor plan. There were 4x4 white ceramic tiles on the kitchen counter tops and island. I felt I could live with the white laminate cabinets as they were in relatively good shape but the tile had to go. Flash forward to 2014 when those laminated cabinets were an eyesore. In reaching out to kitchen remodeling firms, no one would take a chance on reusing the granite as we were told it would possibly break (there was a 16 foot expanse on one surface alone.) Refacing was our only alternative or so we thought. To be honest most of the refacing companies only do that, reface and I wasn't sure that was all we needed to do. A friend recommended Adams Fine Furniture as he built her customer cabinets for her office. We met with Steve Adams who provided us with a new design idea. He worked through our concerns, budget and time frame and came up with the perfect plan: He tore out the existing soffits, built all new cabinets for the uppers and rebuilt and/or refaced around the existing lower structure. Because he owns his own shop, he is able to design and construct the custom cabinets there before demo'ing the kitchen. (We had our new appliances delivered to his shop and they built around them insuring precision.) Hence, our downtime was minimal. The work is that of a craftsman. The grain of the wood on the cabinet doors "waterfalls" from top to bottom. The doors and drawers are all soft close and dovetailed. Everything about the kitchen is now updated and yet more inviting, warmer. Because this is an open room, Steve also updated the 1990's adobe media center that had cutouts for a 42" TV to a flat wall with wood accents to pull it together without overwhelming our budget or the space with wood. We now have a nice media wall. Everyone was courteous and on time. (The Drywaller could cover things better but that's actual work was outstanding and a minor compliant.) I would highly recommend Adams Fine Furniture and we are hoping to have them back to do another project in the future.

We asked Steve to design and build a hickory, built-in entertainment center with a furniture-style feel. We collaborated on the design over a period of weeks and came up with something we are thrilled with, and a design that was different from other things they said they'd built. The piece was built with pride and true workmanship, attention to detail, and everything we asked for. We'd specifically asked them to use a variety of hickory grains so the piece would have some additional character. The finished piece is truly one-of-a-kind. The installation was also carefully done. We are so happy with Adam's Fine Furniture's work and would hire them again.

Worked with Adams Fine Furniture to build custom cabinetry around our new linear fireplace, new mantles and a custom powder room vanity and mirror. We are thrilled with the quality of work and support we received from the crew. An issue with one of our mantles was handled professionally and to our complete satisfaction. We were even worked in on short notice to complete our fireplace built ins before holiday company arrived.

I worked with Steve Adams to design my new kitchen. It was a tedious process but totally worth all of the work. I love to final product and enjoyed working with this very interesting individual.
