I was overwhelmed with my new home and didn’t have the time in my busy life to decorate and choose furniture and various pieces. It can be a daunting process. Afreen came to the rescue and it was an absolute pleasure working with her, she is a GEM in this field. She made everything so effortless. Afreen is a true professional that takes her time to listen and provide top notch service! She is thoughtful with her feedback which reflects her expertise in staying true to the style I wanted. She is very organized, calm, never pushy, determined to make sure I was happy! She has a positive energy vibe, so much so, that I was sad when her project with my home finished, as I really enjoyed spending time with her. Can’t say thank you enough to Afreen, she is wonderful and I am truly enjoying my beautiful home!

We don’t know where to start! We bought our first house a year-back and we got inspired by seeing pictures on Pinterest, Instagram, and other social sites. We thought we will be just fine, so started designing our house. We started buying furniture, rugs, and wall-arts, we put wallpapers on the walls. But after doing that for some time, we still didn’t get the look we wanted. We felt that none of the rooms are finished, missing characters and need final touch from a professional. We started talking with a few Austin’s interior designers, during that process we met Afreen from Afka Designs Ltd. She came to our house for her first introductory visit. We showed her, discussed what we like what we don’t, showed all the new furniture, wallpapers, etc. We had a fear that we may need to get rid of our new furniture, but after looking at everything, she assured us that she can work around those. We were not sure how it will look, but after seeing her past project pictures, we decided to go ahead. She immediately recommended painting a few walls to bring up some character. In the next two weeks, we painted our walls based on her recommendation and we immediately started loving her works. We had no idea that just painting those walls will make our house that beautiful! She shared a Google Spreadsheet with us where she put down all the remaining furniture items, rugs, lighting fixtures, wall arts, canvas, etc. She gave us multiple options for each of the different categories. We loved the details she put on the spreadsheet. We started updating the spreadsheet as we moved on. Sometimes we didn’t like her recommended items, she updated those lists promptly after knowing our pick. During the entire process, she was available and active not only through the Google Spreadsheet but also through chat. It felt like we were always connected and working together to make our house even more beautiful. She was available all the time, whenever we needed her. She came to our house multiple times to see the progress, move items/futures or telling us where to hang which wall art. One thing we must share - she went above and beyond to help us further. She went to local stores two times to buy our items (plants, pillows, decorative items, etc), we never expected this level of service, we were so happy to have her for this project. The final interior look of our house is just gorgeous, we got exactly what we wanted. Sometimes it hard to believe that it’s even our house. We get compliments every time our friend visits our house. We would never be able to get this look if Afreen was not there. As much as we'd like to take the credit for buying a beautiful house, to begin with, and starting our designing journey on the right path, Afka Designs deserves all of it. We can’t wait to use her again for our upcoming projects and our next house! Thanks for making our house so beautiful! You are superb!

Afreen Kamal does an amazing job transferring your home! She handled everything professionally from start to finish. Her designs are stylish and contemporary. She brought her own creativity to fit my interests and taste. I had a pretty specific design aesthetic, however just didn't have the time or patience to find the pieces.
