Fix It Masonry

Several years ago, Alex installed flagstone at the entrance of my house. I was very happy with his work and called him back a few months ago to do more flagstone and landscaping in my backyard. He’s a great communicator, he shows up when he says he will, and gets the job done. He was so thoughtful about the project, and made significant suggestions, which ultimately improved the project. I was delighted. His workmanship is outstanding and he is very knowledgeable. He did a great job, saved me money, and turned my backyard into a peaceful retreat for humans and dogs alike.

Alex installed a flagstone (Eco Outdoors Endicott Crazy Paving) in my kitchen and did a fantastic job. His communication was flawless and the work was absolutely excellent. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. He was always here when he said he would be, incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, super skillful and honestly, felt like a unicorn after working with a variety of contractors and subcontractors. It was a tricky job because we used this material indoors, and we needed it to be as level as possible given that it was in our kitchen. Not to mention the difficulty of having the cabinets and rest of the kitchen already in place. He really went above and beyond and I'm super happy I found him on Houzz and hired him to do the job.

Alex replaced my front retaining wall which was badly cracked/damaged due to the roots of two 100 year old trees. Alex and his team completed the job in exactly the time frame (maybe even a little less) than quoted. Impeccable workmanship, incredible team, very reasonable cost. Would highly recommend Alex again and again!

My project included new block retaining walls, steps and a concrete patio. I'm delighted with the work - Alex cares about quality craftsmanship and went above & beyond. No surprises, no delays - everything was finished promptly. Would definitely hire again!

I hired Alex to rip out or asphalt driveway and garage floor. (I know, who puts asphalt in a garage?) Upon meeting Alex, I was very pleased to see his attention to details. He noticed right away that we had cracks in an adjacent block wall and offered to fix the cracks for free, as well as a brick planter. Everyday, he was here working with one other guy prepping for the cement pour. I didn't get lost in any shuffle of too many people. Unbeknownst to him, we have TONS of rocks on our property. He ended up uncovering enormous boulders from the ground in the garage. We are talking 2-3 feet in diameter. He took away a huge truckload. Even though most people would demand more money for the discovery Alex stuck with his original price. I can't tell you how relived I was. There were A LOT of rocks. The final pour was done and the whole thing looks great. I couldn't be more pleased with how awesome my garage looks now. I would whole heartedly recommend Alex and his team on any project.

Fantastic guy and great work. I needed to redo my front stairs that were in bad shape. Alex came in and far exceeded my expectations. He also implemented some of his own ideas that really worked for the space we were working again. Will definitely be using him again! Plus the quote he gave me was accurate. I have dealt to many times with contractors low balling quotes to the get job and then going way over. What Alex said the job would cost is what it cost.

Alex helped us with the design and creation of a car pad in front of our home along with entry steps. The project also included landscaping with an irrigation system. Alex knows his craft well. You get that impression when you first meet him. The quality of the work is outstanding. He shows up on time and when he says he will. He and his crew are very professional. They keep the work site clean and are conscientious of the neighbors. He established an excellent rapport with the city inspector who passed the project with flying colors. His prices are fair. The entire experience was hassle free. We couldn't be more pleased with both Alex and his crew as hard workers and good people and also the end product. We highly recommend him.

Alex did two project for us, a block wall and sidewalk replacement. The block wall was completed on time and to my complete satisfaction. Alex's crew cleaned up their work everyday during the project and finished the wall with everything put back in place. Alex completed the sidewalk replacement with the LA City inspector making several unexpected requirements. Alex did all extra work for no additional cost to me. I am completely satisfied with Alex's work and will use him again in any future projects.

Alex replaced a large section of a damaged retaining wall, including installing new drainage. The project required matching exactly the existing wall so as to conform to the HOA standards. The project was done to perfection. It was completed exactly to budget and schedule, and the repaired section is indistinguishable from the remaining wall. Alex and his team were polite, professional, thorough. The construction area was neat and secure. He communicated clearly each step of the process. I highly recommend them, and will use them again for other projects.

I discovered Alex by going online. My pool area was getting dangerous from the concrete lifting due to the movement of the hill. I called several people who either didn't respond to my call or didn't want to do the job unless in included the whole area, meaning including replastering the pool. I was nervous at first using someone who hadn't come personally recommended but relaxed as soon as we talked on the phone. He was honest about his schedule, his appraisal of the work that needed to be done, he had a good eye re extending the area down from the pool - stairs that had also been compromised from erosion and his crew was terrific, And equally impressive was his patience in listening, explaining and dealing with homeowner jitters. I highly recommend Alex.
