Amish Cabinets of Texas

We got closet cabinets from Amish Cabinets of Texas for the second time now. We were so impressed with their quality that we went back again a second time. We found them responsive and are always willing to bend over backwards to accommodate customers’ needs and wants. It is rare to find companies that understand customer service nowadays. There were items missing or broken when the cabinets were initially installed. But Daniel corrected them one by one and made them perfect at the end. If you want top quality cabinets, they are your best choice.

No one is better than Daniel and Cindy! I was desperate to find a company in or at Houston that could offer quality cabinets made of real wood. I am fortunate to have found them! Thank you Daniel and Cindy for creating such a beautiful kitchen, tv area with custom cabinets, and an office with built-ins. I would highly recommend you to anyone that is interested.

While looking at cabinets, I came across Amish Cabinets of Texas (ACOT). Daniel sold me on the workmanship and precision build of the 'fine' Amish cabinets that he sells. It took a long time (over a year) between the time I ordered them and the installation. Although I felt the price was kind of high (approx. $20k) I wanted the house to have a great set of custom built cabinets I thought ACOT would provide those. In my honest opinion, I was wrong. The cabinets look like they were built on an assembly line (definitely don't look 'Amish' handcrafted!). The slides used for the garbage cabinet seem rickety and will need replacing in the near future. There are special drawer slides for those. They were not used. There is a large hole in the undersink cabinet bottom panel. Also, the toe kick drawer would not close. I contacted Daniel several times about it and he NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM. A piece of trim fell off about two months after installation. It is still sitting in the corner. At least one drawer box bottom looks like it was fished out of the scrap pile. Quite a few drill holes have burrs around the edges. The spice drawer won't close all the way on its own. The cooktop cabinet required several modifications to accept the cooktop and gas line. I had to do those myself (I have one arm. For me, everything is difficult!). To sum it up, I feel these cabinets are a poor value and have not enhanced the value of my home at all.

Going through the design process on our cabinets with Daniel was a great experience. He was very good about explaining all of the options and providing us with choices in colors, wood type, and options. Overall, we got exactly what we wanted and then some. Daniel was very honest through the entire process and made sure we were 100% satisfied before we gave him the final check. We'll be using him again in another kitchen remodel soon.

I work in the interior design industry and I can honestly say that you will not find a better made cabinet at a better price point than Amish Cabinets of Texas. We remodeled our home 2 years ago and cannot be happier with the results of the cabinets done by Daniel Kelly. The construction is so solid and the quality of wood he uses on his cabinets is superb. Our home is so much more beautiful thanks to Daniels work. I brought by 'wish list' to Daniel and he made it all happen! We are now building another home and I won't use anyone else but Amish Cabinets of Texas!
